Leverage IBM Global Financing to Gain Market Share!
Based on the recent turmoil in the financial markets and the credit crisis, we have an opportunity to leverage financing to WIN business like never before. In the past, IGF may have been looked upon as an accommodation, but today, IGF should be central to your overall value proposition. One of the major obstacle that our teams will face in selling solutions will be our client's conserving cash in this market. There is very little liquidity in the market and it is coming at an ever increasing cost. Our clients regardless of credit quality will horde the limited cash the have left. We should be looking to use IGF to provide leases and loans to overcome this objection for our credit worthy clients.
We should also leverage IGF to gain share against Dell, EMC, HP, etc.. For example, Dell Financial is struggling given the amount of consumer loans they have written in the past. This is putting huge pressure on their profits and access to funding. If the client currently buys Dell servers, we should seek to convert them to IBM by using both our "low rate financing" and "why wait" deferral promotions.
